A year ago Katie Noonan walked in to a bar in Brisbane with her friend Charmene, whom is a dancer. They sat and watched The Uneducated Opinion play a set and asked our friend who Steven was. A year later I was being flown down to Sydney to photograph Katies video clip for her newest song featuring the incredibly talented Charmene..
The day started in pitch black, about 4:30am walking across the darling harbour in snow like rain drops to meet up with Katie to go to the studio lot to film this video.. Everything about this day was surreal, meeting with someone who was the soundtrack to my teen years and who I had admired for more than a decade.. and here we are at 5am trying to coherse the concierge to fire up the coffee machine so we could get caffeinated tongue emoticon
Arriving at the backlot of a studio and entering through the huge roller doors, instantly I knew this was something really special. I don't think I have ever been in a room with such a team who obviously shared a rich history and an obvious chemistry and passion for what they do.. I've probably listened to this song 400 times and still press repeat as soon as its finished...
13 year old me, truly could never have imagined where my life would take me and the people who I would meet and become friends with.. Life is rad!
